Harvesting Milk Thistle
We have been working towards this for a long time, and the moment has finally arrived: the long-awaited harvest of these medicinal plants has begun. The ripe milk thistle blossoms are harvested daily; while the process is somewhat labor-intensive due to the spiny nature of the flowers, we know the result will be a valuable natural remedy produced by CERES. Surprisingly, the dry weather has not significantly harmed the yield, and the quality of the harvested blossoms is excellent.
The CERES milk thistle extract is used to treat liver disorders; consequently, the standards for cultivation and purity are extremely high—a fact that plays perfectly into the hands of our sustainable farming operation.
